Happy Easter Hexagon Pop Up Box

My version of the fantastic Hexagon Pop-Up box designed by MitosuCraft on YouTube.  We made these for my March Card Club and were surprisingly easy to make using Stampin' Up!'s Window Box Thinlit Die. We Stamped the Cross image two times in early espresso and more fussy cutting. First the whole image then the shroud part only. Wrapped the cross center with Linen Thread and adhered to our card using dimensional behind both layers. Check out his video and then Purchase your goodies Here to make your own version. I would love to see what you come up with. These do fold flat for mailing and What a cute gift as a candy dish...The ideas start flowing....Wanna Play?

Paper Piecing

Okay...Yes, I'm one of the ones who loves "Fussy Cutting". I find it relaxing most of the time. And It is a somewhat quick way to add not only color but a little bit of texture to your piece.
Here I started with the image from Beautiful You stamped in black. Then Stamped it again on some Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Pop Of Pink collection. I cut out the dress and the hat. Then adhered them right over the stamped image. Such a simple yet very effective way to add a bit of WOW!! Wanna Play

Framed Succulent Thank You

Wanted to share with you, the 3-D card we made at my monthly Card Club.
The pattern for the frame is from Rhonda Wade.
The part I love to share is how we can color our ribbon. A zippy baggie, some re-inker and a bit of half & half  water/alcohol mixture. I put the ribbon in the baggie. Add mixture to wet the ribbon thoroughly then add my re-inker. I always tell my new stampers to invest in white because you can color it to match and this White Organza Ribbon that we carry dyes beautifully. Pictured is Calypso Coral. You can purchase everything your re-inkers and ribbon HERE to get you started. Wanna Play?
